Hey guys! Just a little something new for both you AND me!

Based this VERY HEAVILY off of Mike Mignola's AMAZING art. I normally don't LOVE that kind of dark, heavily-shaded style, but his stuff just captivates me. Decided to play around with it, and seeing as Kiirsatr is my go-to subject for experimentation, I decided to draw him in the style.

Used comic pages, covers, and sketches for reference. This combines a few different ideas from his pieces(the soft lighting on the leaves isn't ALWAYS used in his art, but it was in the comic page I used as ref soooo), but most of it was based off his beautiful covers.

This was a VERY fun experiment, and I'm definitely gonna do more if people like it enough.

The second I saw this, I thought of Mignola. I love it! Great impression!

Wow, phenomenal style experimentation here! Leaving his eyes visible and vacant makes this whole thing really eerie, like you've just stumbled upon him traveling through the forest--a brief glimpse before the mysterious figure vanishes again. Great work.

I don't know why, but it reminds me of the cover of a book called "the name of the wind".
Appart from that, this looks amazing. Good job!

Looked up the cover of said book, and yes, it kind of does! It must be because the whole "person wearing hood framed by trees" thing isn't terribly original.

XD
